You, and you, and you, and you.....

We'd been discussing Dissociative Identity Disorder (or what used to be called Multiple Personality Disorder) in class, and I thought this video was interesting as it shows the subject (Eve) clearly moving from one identity to another.

The statistics of how many people actually have mutliple personalities and don't know it are astounding. 3% of the population are affected by DID. That breaks down to 1 in every 33 people. Chances are you may know someone that has been or is affected by it.

So if your boss is being a bit more asinine, ignorant, or two-faced, check out the warning signs below to diagnose:

-Fugue states/sleepwalking
-auditory hallucinations
-identity confusion
-headaches, amnesia, time loss, trance
-depression, anxiety, distrusting others, hostility as an adult
-two or more personalities that switch off, usually during times of stress

On a lighter note, there is a new series on Showtime called "The United States of Tara", (written by Diablo Cody of Juno fame) in which the main character (played by the most awesome Toni Colette) has four separate personalities. I have watched the first episode a la YouTube, and it's premium. Word.
